Unfortunately if you’re reading this post for some tips on getting a great ass, you won’t find them here. The title is misleading, sorry.
HOWEVER, Hiking the Hermit Falls Trail in Santa Anita had my ass pretty sore the next day (and my boyfriend’s, too) probably because half the hike is uphill and every step almost felt like lunges (after swimming for like two hours at the end of the hike) And, no, I’m not talking about slightly slanted uphill, more like climbing at certain points and I feel it in my calves kind of uphill. It’s about four miles roundtrip, so you’re hiking two miles uphill (such a great workout!)
This is my favorite hike in Souther California because it’s literally in a forrest and the trails are pretty challenging so you get a workout out of each one and the scenery cannot be compared! Also, at the end of Hermit Falls, there’s a nature-made water slide and pool that everyone cliff dives into! My boyfriend and I took a dip and made use of the nature-made waterpark at the end of the trail before hiking all the way back up so you get even MORE of a workout AND get to have fun! Since the weather in the Summer in SoCal is SUPER warm, Hermit Falls was the PERFECT hike because most of the trail is covered in shade by the trees and there’s the waterfall and pool at the end to cool you off! Got in a great workout AND great date at the same time!
Don’t be a Hermit and Hike to Hermit Falls!
