Anniversary Giveaway!
Today my blog turns 1!
I’ve teamed up once again with my favorite local jewelry artist, Gypsy Irie, to give away this pretty starry piece to 2 Lucky Winners and supporters!
My most treasured creative outlet would not be where it is now without every supporter and follower so I wanted to show my appreciation with this giveaway just in time for the holidays!
BUT, before I give the deets, I just wanted to share a personal note:
I was first inspired to create Everything Brunch about two years ago.
Halfway through college, I felt completely lost. I’m not sure if everyone goes through this in their college career, but after the excitement from moving far away from home and into the dorms, meeting an insane amount of people, joining a sorority, and partying basically EVERY day of the week completely died down, my grades started to slip and my real friends drifted apart. Not to mention, my parents were going through a nasty divorce. I felt completely out of place and I felt I had to totally re-prioritize everything in my life.
So I started writing. I started exploring places alone. I lived alone and this was probably my most introverted year. I was super unhappy and if I wanted to change, something had to be done. I changed my study habits. I changed my diet. I changed my exercise routine. I gave energy to those who positively impacted my life. I started sharing my thoughts and reflections on Facebook about what I was feeling, what I was prioritizing, my goals and my aspirations. All of a sudden, people I hadn’t talked to in months and even YEARS started messaging me saying things like “thank you for posting this, I needed to hear this” and “I’m so proud of you and I’d like to be in on this with you”. The amount of comments and messages I was receiving was overwhelming to say the least and so surprising! I didn’t think anyone was listening. To hear from people I didn’t talk to that I helped or inspired them in some way is a feeling I can’t compare to anything else.
And then I thought, how could I do this consistently without blowing up everyone’s feed? There must be a different approach, a way for me to be as creative as I wanted to while relating to others. Thus, Everything Brunch was created: a lifestyle blog that encompassed everything I believed and still believe to be the most simplistic and realistic approach to life and style with one goal: inspiring others to become the happiest and most genuine version of themselves.
In sum, the blog would not be where it is today or even EXIST without every single friend and supporter since before it’s creation. YOU inspired me. So from the very bottom of my heart, I’d like to say thank you so so much for supporting my dreams, goals and aspirations. Thank you for connecting and finding ways to relate. Thank you for your feedback. Thank you for following. Thank you for everything.
