Ways I Keep My Shit Together 24/7
I’m not a big believer in horoscopes, but I sure as hell act like a Libra.
From waking up at 5am for the gym, working full-time and making time for friends in the evenings, I’d say I have my scales well balanced.
If you asked me if I was truly content in life, the answer is abso-fucking-lutely.
I credit well established daily routines and habits (and my people) for making my life run so seemingly smooth.
Here are some ways I keep organized that make it much easier to balance and enjoy every aspect of life:
Finding Your People
The people you keep in your life have the biggest influence on you. Thankfully my roommate and my best friend have their shit together and are busy being productive 24/7 with the occasional bar outing on the weekend. Work hard, play hard am I right? In all seriousness, I strive to surround myself with people who are consistent in working to better themselves. Motivation motivates. Positivity feeds off of positivity. Surround yourself with people who make you better.
My side piece is Google Calendar. I plan literally EVERYTHING. You need to be a planner to be organized. I schedule everything including work from 8-5, meetings, an hour or two to work on my blog when I get home, as well as big social events like concerts, birthday parties, dinners, etc. This way, I know when I can commit to things and what I have time for in advanced. I also plan my gym seshes weekly. It looks a little something like this:
Finding Time to Exercise
Yes, hello people, this is a must. Exercise keeps you sane. It’s my #1 source for sleeping well and coping with stress. And yes, you have time. I find time to go to the gym at least four days a week. It makes it easier to go in the mornings before I go to work at 8AM so I’m not tired in the afternoon. I literally feel lazy when I don’t go after two days of not working out, i.e. the weekend. Find time to exercise. Your mind and body will thank you.
A Solid Morning Routine//Nighttime Routine
Establishing a morning and nighttime routine is VITAL. Here’s my morning routine I feel makes a productive and organized day. At night, I like to get set for the next day by laying out my outfit and gym clothes ready for the morning so I don’t have to stress about it.
Like I said, not a believer in horoscopes, but I am one full moon Libra. I truly believe motivation is key. Waking up with intention to be the very best version of yourself every day will translate to every aspect of your life.
