Sweet Summer Dates

The ONLY reason Summer is actually my SECOND favorite season is because there’s lots to do and it’s like everything and everyone steps out of hibernation. And since I’m only 22, I’m trying to live life by the fullest.

Here’s some sweet summer date ideas!

MOVIES ON THE BEACH

Above is the link for Movies on the Beach in Long Beach. Personally, I love Movies on the Beach at Huntington Beach because there’s more bars and nightlife close by for after. Grab a blanket and some snacks and head on over! There’s also food trucks that come by!

Laguna for Lovers

My FAVORITE beach in SoCal is hands down Laguna. I like to start with brunch at Urth Cafe (this is the prettiest location), and then walk down to downtown and the beach until it’s time for Happy Hour! I also love picnics on the beach and Laguna is a beautiful place to enjoy the sunset!

Road Trip to Santa Barbara

I really LOVE Santa Barbara. It’s a cute and quaint beach town with lots of good seafood places to eat at and views you just can’t beat. It’s right along PCH and a few hour drive from SoCal which makes for a fun mini road trip along the coast. it’s especially beautiful in the Summer when it’s warm out to stop at some beaches on the way!

MUSIC FESTIVALS

Okay, yes I know this is pricey, but boy oh boy it’s a good investment. And this is like a date to CELEBRATE like an anniversary or something. I’m going to HARD Summer and Outside Lands, so needless to say I’m STOKED (although my checking account isn’t). You can also get cheaper tix last minute since almost always people sell them last minute.

Malibu to Santa Monica!

This is a WHOLE DAY adventure, and prepare to spend more $ out of your pocket. Start at the Getty Villa which is FREE and beautiful on a sunny day! Then drive down to Malibu Farm Cafe and enjoy the fresh food and view on the pier and you can walk down to the beach! In the afternoon, head to the Santa Monica Pier where they have arcade games and rides like a mini fair!

OC Fair and OC Night Market

Is this overpriced? Yes. Is it still fun? Yes! I love seeing all the vendors and animals they have here! Plus, it’s a great place to double date or go with a group of friends!
